The hospitality world is the company’s primary focus and it has made relations with the design world a strongpoint in its commercial strategy.
As well as the design, the hallmark of Emu has always been the environmental aspects: its Green Statement declares that its products are 100% recyclable, that 98% of its chairs can be stacked and that the packing and shipping materials contain at least 30% of recycled materials.
Emu has brought the most important new products in its 2017 catalogue to HD in Las Vegas, products that had already been vetted and acclaimed during April’s Milan Design Week: above all, the collections Terramare by Chiaramonte-Marin, Dock by Sebastian Heckner and Kira by Christophe Pillet.
Terramare, suitable for indoors and outdoors, features linear shapes and a great variety of finishes for creating living and dining rooms in a luxury residence.
Modular flexibility is the outstanding feature of Dock, with water-repellent upholstery (all Emu products have this feature) and vivid colours. The collection is completed with tables and chairs that harmoniously supplement the sofas and armchairs.
The cocktail atmosphere is what inspires Con Kira by Christophe Pillet. The combination of aluminium with the fabrics of the chairs and the porcelain stoneware of the table’s surface round off an elegant and restrained picture.
