The Vicenza-based company designed Sisley’s new Rich&Raw concept store in Venice, leaving its indelible signature of quality and excellence

Installing 260 sq m of marble – the quantity used for the creation of Sisley’s new Rich&Raw store in Calle Vallaresso, Venice – is no walk in the park. But for Margraf, which skilfully extracts marble from its own deposits to transform it into polished slabs or small modular tiles, offering a wide range of high-quality material molded with state-of-the-art technology, it was yet another challenge that the company has successfully overcome.

The store’s concept takes inspiration from Bernardo Bertolucci’s film “The Dreamers”, recreating the atmosphere of a period Parisian apartment, which is luxurious but used in a free and young way.
Here the company plays a leading role in the division and articulation of the interior space thanks to the gray and charcoal-colored marble floor, consisting of a passage that leads from the entrance to the store with a yellow, white and orange blossom herringbone pattern, and consists of different materials, cut into slats: brushed Black Amani, shiny Fior di Pesco Carnico – of which Margraf owns the only quarry in the world – shiny White Carrara, shiny Yellow Travertino and brushed Gray Jolye.
It is all accentuated by the lake-colored glossy lacquered ceiling, which resembles the green of a lagoon and of Venetian frames, reflecting the warm, soft light of the interiors mixed with natural light, with a general effect of half-light and great elegance.
