The second edition of Maison&Objet Paris is here. A rich exhibition programme, complete with a calendar brimming with events and conferences. All four effervescent Parisian design districts will be brought to life, with over 200 venues

As usual September opens with this year's second session of Maison&Objet Paris. From the 8th to 12th, approximately 3200 international exhibitors will converge upon a 130,000 sqm exhibition site, at the pavilions of Parc des Exposition, Paris Nord Villepinte. This year the exhibition programme has been organised around three macro areas:  Maison (Hall 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B), with focus on Home Decoration; Objet which thanks to a new layout for pavilion 6, presents a more orderly route, featuring Smart Gift, Home&Fashion and Cook&Share formats. Lastly, Halls 7 and 8 will host Influences, with the most innovative design and luxury lifestyle proposals. This container is brimming with innovation and experimentation brought to you by Now! Design à Vivre,  together with technological Maison&Objet|Projets solutions.

Tristan Auer is one of the protagonists of this edition, heralded as Designer of the Year, with the Singapore-based studio Whoa as Designer of the Year Asia.

During its consolidated contest Risign Talent dedicated to young designers, M&O will select 8 emerging talents from the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI-Les Ateliers). The 5 winners of the Rising Talent Awards Asia 2017 will also be presented.

Hotel Bel'Chique will make its début in hall four. This innovative concept proposes a complete hospitality solution, from furnishings, lighting, cladding and outdoor design, involving ten Belgian brands.

The French-Japanese designer duoAkari-Lisa Ishii and Motoko Ishiiwill present the latest lighting trends though an installation entitled Invisible, where lights, in a magical play, interact with the visible and invisible.

In addition to a diversified array of events (over 30) and conferences (approximately 70) at the Parc des Expositions, from September 7th - 16th, the whole of Paris will be brought to life in a maelstrom of events, openings, installations, conferences, cocktail parties and award ceremonies on occasion of the seventh edition of Paris Design Week, with a precise objective in mind: to share a passion for design, with over 100,000 expected visitors.

All four effervescent Parisian districts-Barbès-Stalingrad, Opera-Concorde-Etoile, Les Halles-Marais-Bastille and Saint Germain-de-Prés - will be teaming with over 200 venues including showrooms, galleries, studios, restaurants, hotels and museums, guiding visitors along seven themed routes to stimulate a multi-disciplinary and richly faceted approach to design.

Molteni&C is set to inaugurate an exhibition dedicated to Vincent Van Duysen, whereas Marazzi will inaugurate its new showroom in Boulevard Saint Germain.

Once more at PDW all eyes will be on Now! Le Off, scheduled to take place at Les Docks, Citè de la Mode et du Design. This year it has been organised in conjunction with Maison&Objet, enabling over 100 young emerging talents to present their own projects and prototypes to the world of industry. Last year over 15,00 contacts from the world of industry as well as design and architecture studios participated in the event, eager to discover big names in the future of design. Two young talents will be awarded The Rado Star Prize France during the inauguration evening.
