In the limelight the most anticipated collective of this Cersaie edition. Milleluci: a journey in the 1970s! The atmosphere of the variety shows, the influence of the cinema and the evocative suggestions of the light create a multi-sensorial journey through thematic setups that focus and enhance, in an original and unusual way, the design of bathroom, ceramic tiles, and surface materials, between classic shapes and different styles.
For the realization of Milleluci - Italian Style Concept, curators Angelo Dall'Aglio and Davide Vercelli drew inspiration from the television variety show hosted by Mina and Raffaella Carrà in 1974; as each episode of the program paid homage to a different kind of show, so the exhibition hosted at Pavilion 30 of the Fair develops in ten sets a precise cinema or theatrical genre, represented by a film or a work that best interprets its rules.
Here the Madama Butterfly (opera), Goldfinger (spy story), Grease (musical), For a Few Dollars More (western), Frankenstein Junior (comedian), Valentina (cartoon), Once upon a time in America (dramatic) The Persuaders (TV), Space 1999 (science fiction), Shining (horror).
The protagonist of the scene is light, an essential element that not only makes possible the perceptive process, but it also acts as an emotional source, illuminating the products and creating bespoke atmospheres.
Riding on the success of the three past events (Cer-Sea in 2014, Cer Stile in 2015 and CerSail Italian Style Concept in 2016) with a total of 32,000 visitors and 202 participating companies, this year's collective exhibit saw the participation of many high-profile companies.
Among these: Artemide, Bertolotto Porte, Bompiani Appliances, Caimi Brevetti, Casalgrande Padana, Ceramica Flaminia, Cordivari, Danese, Del Conca, Emilgroup, Fima Carlo Frattini, Itlas, Lea Ceramiche, Melogranoblu, Oikos, Ragno, Rubinetterie 3m, Seletti, Tagina Ceramiche d’arte, Wall&Deco.
Within the Cersaie, Milleluci is also a not to be missed stage in the city, in the frame of the Bologna Design Week. In the Quadrivio of Galleria Cavour are shown two sets of the collective exhibition, La dolce vita and Colazione da Tiffany, as a trait of union between the fair and the event, of which Cersaie is the main partner.
